Adam Hulbert has always been deeply passionate about art. Along with his interests in nature, sci fi, and filmmaking, art has persuaded him to pursue a career as a 3D Modeller and texture artist. He has been working in the vfx industry for over 9 years now.
Since July 2018, Adam has been a full-time employee at Spin VFX studio as a 3D Modeller and texture art. Many of the major projects he has worked on include well-known tv shows like Stranger Things, Umbrella Academy and Altered Carbon, major films like Zombieland 2: Double Tap, Into the Tall Grass and My Spy, and the documentary Asteroid Hunter.
Before Spin VFX, Adam was a contract 3D artist for Intelligent Creatures VFX studio for four years starting in October 2014. The tv and film projects he worked on at Intelligent Creatures included the documentary "The Brain with Dr. David Eagleman", the Canadian BBC tv series Orphan Black and films like the war drama Hyena Road, and the monster comedy Colossal which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2016.
Earlier in his career he with Soho VFX as Maya 3D artist for the feature film remake Poltergeist. Before he did work for Foresight Features as the main 3D character and asset designer for the feature film Hellmouth. There he modelled more than 90 photo-realistic creatures and assets for the film. His first major work began at Fast Motion Studios as the character designer for the RPG mobile game Excessive Force.
As an honours graduate of the Game Art and Design program from Centennial College in Toronto.
Adam’s skills include Zbrush, Maya, Photoshop, Mari, Substance Painter, 3DS Max and hand drawing.
