An alien species of large flightless bird that travels across miles of frozen water on a tundra-covered planet. Limbs have been sharpened to skate effortlessly across the ice while wing-like sails extend out from their backs to act as steering mechanisms. Wanted to go a route different from past creature designs.
I wanted to make something that looked unfamiliar but made sense in design. Then decided to add more bird elements to make it look more graceful on the ice.
